1. A Video Game.
I went and reserved a copy of UFC : Undisputed 2010 for Xbox for my father's birthday. Being an Xbox geek as well as an mma nerd, makes this game a supposed utopia for my mind and entertainment. The hype surrounding it and the DEMO has done this already....I am so stoked.
Also with the reserving of the game I gained four EXCLUSIVE fighters :
Brit James McSweeny
Former NFL player Marcus Jones
Ultimate Fighter 10 contestant Brendan Schaub
Ultimate Fighter Heavyweight Winner Roy “Big Country” Nelson
so while this game was a “gift” for my father, it was also a gift for myself.
2. A Fight Announcement.
Inside MMA on HDNET had their regular show on friday and featured Chael Sonnen. He discussed his August fight against Anderson Silva. He also let it slip that it would be August 7th in OAKLAND, CA!!!!
It will be the UFC debut (aside from the opening of the first UFC gym in Concord) in the Bay Area (because I'm sorry Sacramento is not the Bay Area) and promises to be an exciting event...hopefully. Chael did say that if Anderson pulls any of his recent antics in their fight, he will not hold back and will do anything needed to win.
This has not yet been confirmed on the UFC website, but the event would be UFC 117, I hope this happens, if it does I will be there no matter what.
