Strikeforce's Most Exciting Card Yet.

On Saturday, April 17th, CBS and STRIKEFORCE's “Saturday Night Fights” returns to national television. Taking place in Nashville, Tennessee, this could be considered STRIKEFORCE's most star-studded (for MMA fans) and action packed show. Three titles are on the line along with a great deal of respect. Saturday night STRIKEFORCE will welcome two new fighters into their cage, but not into the MMA world. We will see the STRIKEFORCE debuts of Shinya Aoki and Dan Henderson, two names common to any Mixed Martial Arts enthusiasts. Shinya Aoki joining STRIKEFORCE by way of Japan's popular DREAM organization (where he holds the lightweight title), he will fight STRIKEFORCE veteran Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez for the lightweight championship of STRIKEFORCE. Henderson (aka “Hendo”) left the UFC, the world's leading fighting organization, to join STRIKEFORCE and he premiers in a title fight to face Jake Shields, winner taking the middleweight belt. The last title up for grabs Saturday night is that of the light-heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi, the current champ, will face “King Mo” Lawal, this fight promises to be an all out brawl.

While all these fights are going to fantastic the one I am most excited for may not even be shown on television. That is the middleweight match-up between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Tim Stout. The fight, only recently added, is taking the slot that had been reserved for heavyweight Bobby Lashley, fight and bout agreements will be issued shortly.

If all goes well these fights will be fantastic.

No disappointment should come off this card for veteran MMA fans or new fans.
