Short and Sweet on StrikeForce : Heavy Artillery

Raphael “Feijao” vs. Antwain Britt

-Explosive knockout by “Feijao” after referee separated him from Britt. [3:45 minutes]

-First time Britt has ever lost by strikes.

Roger Gracie vs. Kevin Randleman

-Roger Gracie is from London, England...the Gracies are everywhere...

-Roger Gracie used his expert Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu to earn and second round submission victory over Kevin Randleman.

“Jacare” Souza vs. Joey Villasenor

-Villasenor = boxer → fighter.

-Entertaining fight, Jacare winning by decision; Villasenor definitely proved himself as a great MMA contender.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Antonio Silva

-Both fighters coming off losses; both believing they have to prove themselves again.

-Antonio Silva beats the “Pitbull” by unanimous decision, further tarnishing Arlovski's reputation.

Alistair Overeem vs. Brett Rogers

-Rogers doesn't have his mohawk...will this determine his fate?

-Alistair overpowers Rogers on the ground, eventually being pushed off by McCarthy...i guess Rogers mohawk was the secret to his awesome.

Overall some very entertaining fights, and a seemingly short broadcast with only two fights going the full time. Strikeforce pulls through again with a good card.

Alves still not cleared to fight

As most of you probably know, Thiago Alves had failed his last CT scan in order to fight Jon Fitch on the UFC 111 card in New Jersey; Alves had to undergo brain-surgery to repair a fistula on the left side of his brain that they found in the scan. This operation was reported as a success and Thiago was scheduled to fight Jon Fitch on the June 12th card in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. However this leaves about 6 weeks to the fight and Alves still has not been medically cleared. So to be safe the UFC has decided to move the bout to the August 7th card in Oakland, CA!!!
